YogaCan offers a wide range of yoga classes to suit individual needs.
Introduced early in life, yoga can provide young people with the necessary tools to navigate through the challenges of adolescence and transition into adulthood with equanimity and a greater sense of self awareness and ability to self care.

And yet, it’s never too late to introduce a healthy yoga practice into our lives; a habit that is as good for the spirit as it is for the body. The perfect antidote to stress and a great way to unwind, strengthen and balance the body and mind!

Corporate
YogaCan’s lunchtime classes help employees 'Recharge, Relax and Rejuvenate'. Progressive minded companies understand the need to address their employees’ health and well-being and reap the benefits through increased productivity and a healthier, happier workforce.

According to researchers from the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre in Worcester, yoga in conjunction with meditation can indeed relieve stress and improve work performance. The Stress Reduction Clinic is the oldest and largest hospital-based mind/body centre of its kind in the United States, treating more than 10,000 patients since opening in 1979.

"Jacquie Lewin's yoga classes are excellent!  She always leads a friendly, professionally-designed practice designed to meet the goals---and accommodate the individual ability levels of all her students."  Margaret B. (corporate class student for the past 4 years)

Athletes

More and more professional athletes are incorporating a yoga practice into their training regimen.  A regular practice of yoga can help to strengthen, stretch, balance and focus an athlete and can help reduce risk of injury.  If an athlete sustains an injury, a yoga practice can help them to heal and foster a deeper body awareness.

Yoga itself is non-competitive, but the increased core strength, balance, flexibility, improved breathing and mental focus that come as a result of a regular practice of yoga can help give an athlete the ‘competitive’ edge!!!

Jacquie currently works with Royal York FC as Yoga Instructor for the club.

“The best part of it for me, is that the boys are gaining body awareness, something that serves them well as athletes but the implications go well beyond their soccer.  This year we used yoga as part of our recovery after a game day, I asked the boys if they felt different after the session.  I was received with a chorus of emphatic “YESSES”
Tony Priolo, Head Coach RYFC, U16 boys -

“Yoga is about learning to pay attention and focus your energy.  It’s about learning to block out everything and focus on one thing, whether you’re shooting a free throw, or stepping up to bat, or standing on the starting line in a marathon, or riding in the tour de France”
- Beryl Bender Birch -

“Yoga can really help athletes not only perform better but connect to their bodies, to give them a deepr meaning of what it is to be an athlete”
- Baron deBaptiste
